Riley lost her 3rd tooth!

Riley lost her 3rd tooth this morning. I washed her face and it fell right out. She was very excited and surprised to have it fall out by itself. She says she's going to stay up all night tonight to see the tooth fairy. With the help of soccer practice I don't see that happening though.

Izaak is getting excited for Pre K. He can't wait to play with the toys in the classroom. We were there yesterday to set up my classroom and he was looking around.

Allan has been busy with his "homework" for fantasy football. He loves this time of year!

I'm trying to get a great start for a new year. I plan on spending some time in the classroom this week and lots of time making plans out at home. I'm excited to say that I made my 35 pound (36.2 to be exact) weight loss today! It becomes very addicting.

Soccer 2008

Riley started soccer practice last night. She loves it! She did well for her first time. Allan is ready to get outside and practice with her. Izaak says he wants to show her some moves too. Coach Matt is very nice and seems to have a lot of patience.

The summer went fast!

Izaak went to the doctor for his post operation appointment today. He's all healed and ready to go. The doctor said he only has a 3% chance to get strep now if he's exposed. We also talked about the side affects Izaak had with the anesthesia. The doctor said it's very rare but it does happen. Something to be aware of if he ever needs surgery again. Luckily he's back to his old self. He is still a little clingy to Mama but he's always been a mama's boy.

Riley is excited to start soccer practice tonight. She can't wait to play. She's also excited that she has three loose teeth and knows the tooth fairy will be visiting her soon. She has a list of things she wants to buy.

Allan just finished a week of welding school the railroad sent him to. Although he learned a lot he's happy to be finished with it and back to work. He thinks that he will have to go on afternoons starting in the middle of September. Although no one is happy about it we know it will be worth it for his future.

I am slowly getting my classroom ready for the beginning of school. Two more weeks. The summer seems to have been washed away.

Update on Izaak

We are home from the hospital. Izaak did very well. He was very brave. Everything went good. The doctor said his tonsils and adenoids were huge and that his tongue was very restricted. Now with his tonsils and adenoids out and his tongue clipped we hope to see great improvement with everything. He had a hard time waking up. . .probably the worse thing Allan and I had to go through in our lives. He was gagging alot and had a lot of pain in his mouth and needed extra meds. He is still having a little pain in his mouth but we have some meds for it. The doctor said today will be the best day and the next 7 will be hell. He's also hungry but can only eat cold, soft foods which I know will not go over well after a while. (He's already asking for pizza. . . takes right after his papa). He's sleeping now.Thank you for the extra prayers and love!

Waiting to see the doctor

The silly medicine has kicked in

After surgery. . had extra medicine and a grape icepop

Feeling a little better to play the PSP

Ready to go home

Please pray for Izaak

Please keep Izaak in your prayers the next couple of days. His surgery is tomorrow morning at 8:50. It should take about an hour. He's doesn't seem very nervous but Allan and I are. Riley is going to be there in the morning because she is a little nervous too. She just wants to make sure her little brother is ok and then Mema will take her home. If all goes well we should be home tomorrow night. I'll let everyone know how he's doing then.
