New Hair Cuts

I wanted to get Izaak's hair cut yesterday because next week is going to be busy with doctor apts and I need to work on my classroom. He has been tell Allan and me that he wants his hair like Papa's (Allan had just gotten his hair buzzed a couple of days ago).

Riley also needed her bangs cut but then she started (as she always does) that she wanted to cut her hair short. I told her that if we cut it short she wouldn't be able to wear it up anymore, but she didn't care. So after some thinking I said ok. They both look very cute, and they love their new hair cuts!

Summer Time Fun

We have all been having a very busy summer. Although I am done with work I have been attending many trainings and I also did some curriculum writing. It's a little extra money and of course it looks good for me as a teacher. Now I'm done with the trainings so I can focus on setting up my classroom and getting prepared for Kindergarten.

Riley and Izaak are so excited to start school. We bought their backpacks and lunch boxes yesterday. Riley picked a Hello Kitty backpack and Littlest Pet Shop lunch box while Izaak picked Darth Vader for a backpack and an Iron Man lunch box. Of course I don't know if they're having more fun school shopping or if I am.



Riley wanted to sign up for soccer. Her games will be on Saturday mornings in September and October. I'll let everyone know more information when the time gets closer.



We looked into Pop Warner Football for Izaak but he is still to young.



Allan is wrapping up his training time. We are thinking he's going to have to bid on an afternoon job in August. We're not looking forward to it but we know it's just going to better him for the future and he loves the job.
